Saraswatha yagna at Chakkulathukavu

Kochi: Starting from April 14, a 10-day saraswatha yagna will be performed at Chakkulathukavu Sree Bhagavathi temple premises. In a press conference, temple development committee president KK Gopalakrishnan Nair said 50 Vedic pundits are expected to participate in the yagna where a special saraswatha ghrutham (ghee) will be prepared in the background of chanting verses from the Vedas.


Mr Nair said this ghrutham has been proved effective in developing intellectual skills of students. Temple administrator Radhakrishnan Nambudiri will preside over the functions. Coordinator of the event, Ramesh Elamon and secretary K Sathish Kumar also participated in the press conference.
