PALAKKAD: The Palakkad unit of the Rama Sethu Protection Committee will conduct a sanyasi yathra demanding the protection of the Rama Sethu bridge on October 18.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad district president M. Rajan and Hindu Aikya Vedi district organising secretary K.N. Sreevatsan told mediapersons here on Monday that the sanyasi yathra would be led by Prabhakarananda Sanyasi of the Kerala Sanyasi Sabha.
They said that they were not against the Sethu Samudram Project, but the shipping channel should not be laid by destroying the Rama Sethu bridge.
