Sanskrit University VC’s death threat : Investigation freeze

Kidangoor: Due to the interference of the leftist organisation the investigation into the incident in  which the vice chancellor of Kalady Sri Shankara sanskrit university Shri K.S. Radhakrishnan received threatening letter now stands freeze. The Aluva ASP Vikram Singh was in charge of the investigation. It was on 9th September’ 06 the VC received the threatening letter with the heading ‘allah-o-akbar’.

The letter mentioned that it was a continuation of the article published in a weekly by sanskrit university research student Shabna. It also mentioned that the VC’s daughter’s life will be in danger and within a months time something drastic will happen to her. It is alleged that on may 11th 2005 the research student Shabna went to meet the VC at his office to discuss some issues regarding the hostel. Shabna immediately gave a complaint to the women’s welfare committee that the VC misbehaved with her. It turned out later that the complaint was false and baseless. The leftist students who were already having grudge with the VC used this incident to personally malign the VC. Shabna episode later died a natural death and was forgotten.

Meanwhile attempts were made by some teacher’s organization to picturise the VC as a Muslim-hater and a Hindutwavadi. The VC was in fact trying to liberate the university from the clutches of the marxian intellectuals and the red brigade was furious about it. As a preliminary step of re-gaining the university, course on astrology and the sanskrit revival programs were started. Even these programs were attempted to be sabotaged by the leftist. Meanwhile Shaji Jacob the Malayalam dept. lecture was suspended for misbehaving with the syndicate members

A petition was given to the education minister M.A.Baby to remove the VC Shri Radhakrishnan. The minister said in the assembly that all the VCs of the different universities in Kerala were eminent persons. So when all these attempts to expel the VC by the leftists failed, the issue of molestation was created. When this was failed, the threat to his daughter was planned. As a result of this death threat, VC demanded enquiry into this incident, police sentry was posted near his residence and investigation into the source of the threatning letter was started. The police questioned malayalam lecturer Shaji Jacob, Anas and Shabna. It was Shaji Jacob who assisted Shabna to create the article and publish it in a weekly. Anas is the history lecturer at the university’s Thuravoor centre. He was the former Ernakulam district secretary of SIMI. His links with terrorist organisationis being investigated. The lack-a-daisical approach of the police in the investigation creates suspicion.
