Sachar panel report: BJP warns govt

KOZHIKODE: BJP state president P.K.Krishnadas has warned the State Government against implementation of the Sachar Committee recommendations.

Addressing news persons here on Monday Krishnadas said that religion should not be the yardstick to measure the poverty of the people.

Criticising both the state and Central governments, he said both CPM and Congress are looking forward to coming elections and are resorting to votebank politics.

“These parties and governments will have to face strong resistance if they continue with their plans on implementing Sachar report.’’

As the initial step, Yuva Morcha will conduct a protest march in Kozhikode on March 11.

Similar marches will also be held in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on March 12 and 14 respectively. Krishnadas demanded that the government should order investigation against the MLA who is alleged to be linked with the accused terrorist Yahya Khan.

He said that the BJP will hold a march to various railway stations on March 4 to protest the continuing negligence towards state by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.
