SABARIMALA: The Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Mohanaru has handed over a letter to the devaswom board president saying that the Devaswom Minister K C Venugopal illegally intervened in the appointment of Sabarimala melsanthi.

Even though devaswom board president G Raman Nair confirmed of receiving the letter, both he and the tantri refused to divulge the details.

The tantri also said he had received a telephone call from the minister asking him to include Janardhanan Embranthiri’s (a native of Alappuzha) name in the list of melsanthi. The tantri later said that he did not give any consideration to the call.
