Sabarimala – A ‘Pilgrimage Industry’ for alternative Governments

Thiruvananthapuram: Though Government reiterates that money from Temples are not diverted to state treasury, The looting of Devotees money continue unabated.

For the service various Government agencies rendered during 41 days Mandala Pilgrimage, Government demanded transferring of 7.47 crore rupees to Treasury as ‘Fees’ for the service!

This loot is said to be 400% high than previous years and the amount will continue to rise once Makaravilaku is completed. This fees is apart from all the facilities given by Devaswom to all the staff including food and accommodation.

During this annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala , Government gets an average of 100 crore Rupees apart from this ‘FEES’. KSRTC  and  KTDC makes huge profit during this Pilgrimage period .The revenue Government receives from Petrol, Diesel and other consumables like food is a staggering amount.

All the Security apparatus to safe guard the pilgrims also comes from the Devaswom budget. Even after providing all the infra structure , facilities  and apparatus for the conduct of Pilgrimage- This Government looting is unpardonable.

Last year Health Ministry charged 25 lakhs Rupees and this year it’s been hiked to 97 lakhs! And no extra facility apart from last year was arranged any where in pampa, Sannidhanam or enroute by Health Ministry this year. The only difference is in the ‘FEES’ they charged!

Home Ministry had demanded 1.5 crore Rupees as Special duty ‘FEES’ and 35 lakh rupees ‘FEES’ for normal duty. Last year iot was only 30 lakhs!

If it was 35 lakhs Rupees charged last year for cleaning and waste disposal, This time it is 63.55 lakhs rupees!

For giving official news to print and media Devaswom has to pay 1.83 lakhs Rupees!

Electricity board demands 3.5 crore rupees from Devaswom and they charge 14.90 Rupees per unit- The rate assigned for Industrial purpose! Indeed for the Atheist Leftist Government Hindu Pilgrimages are treated as yet another INDUSTRY to make huge profits!

There was a copra collecting unit functioning earlier in Sannidhanam , which has stopped working for years and in the papers of KSEB they still charge the amount for supplying electricity for this non existing copra Unit!

And the Water Authority  charges is not even monitored- There are no meters to monitor the usage of water and it is the duty of Devaswom to pay the water bills for all other departments – Remember this payment is after the FEES each department charges on Devaswom board.

Last year Toilet complexes were functioning directly under Devaswom and they got payment of 56 lakhs Rupees. This year Government had given it to few ‘Party’ middlemen and Devaswom got only 10 lakhs Rupees this year from them! Rest of the money will be divided among the comrades who managed the Toilets provided a good amount goes to their party funds as well.

This blatant discrimination against Hindus happens only in Kerala while the others enjoys all state benefits and freebies including subsidy for their pilgrimage to five star treatment in Haj houses and huge grants to Conversion centres like that of in Muringoor
