RSS has no political ambition : Gopalankutty Master

KOZHIKODE: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Kerala prantha Saha karyavahak P Gopalan Kutty Master has said that the outfit has no political ambitions.



Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that the RSS has its own organisational agenda and goals. “The similarity in the organisational goal is the sole common platform for the RSS and BJP,” he said.



Replying to a question on electoral politics, he made it clear that the Sangh never asked its workers to vote for any particular party and it does not want to add colour to its activities with political inclinations. “We used to observe the political developments, but we never interference,” he pointed out.



On the issue of the non-Brahmins performing pooja at temples, he said that RSS is of the opinion that anyone trained in the rituals can perform puja.



Responding to queries on the allegations levelled against the leaders deputed to the BJP from RSS, said till date no evidence has been produced to substantiate such allegations.



The press conference was convened to brief about the Rashtra Raksha Sanchalan which will reach the city on January 9.



The Sanchalan is being organised by RSS to enlighten the people of the increasing threats to the national integrity.



The Sanchalan, inaugurated at Kasargod, will conclude in Thiruvananthapuram on January 26.
