While heated discussions were going on among Anti Hindus and Self appointed intellectuals regarding what to do with the Sri Padmanabhan’s valuables, Devotees were keen to know the stand of Royal family.

While appearing for Royal Family in behalf of Shri Marthanda Varma head of Royal family , Their counsel K K Vijayakumar made it clear infront of Apex court on Friday.

1)The royal family is not claiming any ownership.
2) No part of the property belongs to any member of the family.
3)The Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple is a public temple and they are only trustees.
4) The treasure should be used judiciously for religious and social uplift, running veda patasalas and maintenance of other Hindu temples which are not in good condition.
5)The unique artefacts made as offerings to the deity show to what extent people are prepared to part with their wealth for the sake of God.

Interestingly while reporters who were covering it 24 x 7 for past few days were not ready to highlight this stand of Shri Marthanda Varma.
