“Religion Shouldn’t be the yardstick to measure Poverty” – Krishnadas

published on April 29, 2008

Thiruvananthapuram: BJPState President P.K.Krishnadas, demanded the constitution of a new commission to find out the backwardness of Hindus in the state. He was addressing the massive crowd who came to attend the Samathwa Samrakshana Rally (Equality Protection Rally), in which Shri Advaniji also attended at Bharath Gopi Nagar(Putharikandam Maidan.)

The apathy of Congress and Communist party towards Hindus is because they are unorganised and not their votebank. The Politics behind Sachar Commission and Paloli report is the politics of Imperialist British –Divide and Rule.

There is no religion for ‘Hunger’, The reports which say it’s only the Muslims who are poor in the state and it is them who need special care and attention is ridiculous. The yardstick of poverty is not Religion but Humanity.

All the scientific studies and researches conducted in Kerala on Socio-Economic grounds have concluded that it’s the Hindus in Kerala, who are far behind the other two Religions.

Being that the fact, Special empowerment to Muslims in Kerala will only help to push the Hindus further to the edge and to create widespread inequality in the society. BJP will be there in forefront to oppose such discriminatory tendencies and the support of all Hindus irrespective of caste and politics is needed.

Thousands of Hindus flocked in the Rally which started from central stadium and concluded at Bharath Gopi Nagar. The tableau’s ,floats , Panchavadyams and Singari Melams etc accompanied the rally. The presence of Hundreds of women in traditional Kerala attire actively volunteered in the Rally and public function after it.

The Rally lead by State and District leaders of Hindu organisations turned out as a effective warning to the Government who pursue the policies of Hindu hatred and Minority appeasement
