Rarest Panchaloha moorthy stolen

Palakkad: One of the rarest panchaloha moorthy weighing 2 kg, a silver crown of 325 grams and five gold thalis have been stolen from the Karthyayani Bhagawathi Temple at Kudallor in Kollamkode near here.

The theft was first noticed by TG Chakrapani, the priest of the temple, at 5.30 am on Sunday morning. The idol and the ornaments were stolen after breaking open the door of the sanctum sanctorum. Police and fingerprint experts have reached spot.
