Ramesh Chennithala demand ‘Humanitarian’ approach for terrorist Madni

published on May 15, 2013

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee has sought ‘humanitarian treatment’ for jailed PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani. Recently the party hinted that it would press its party government, which has assumed office in Karnataka, to speed up trial of Madani who has been lodged in a Bangalore jail for over two years in connection with the 2008 serial blasts.

“We will urge the Government to take a humanitarian approach towards Madani. This has always been our stand,” said KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala recently, while addressing the press. “Let the law take its course in the case. But we are of the view that there should be a humanitarian approach,” said Chennithala.
