via Mahadev published on February 25, 2006

Kochi, Feb25: Former Union Minister of States for Railways, Mr. O Rajagopal said that denial of the Railway Zone to Kerala, which is essential for the state’s railway development in spite of unanimous demand from Kerala state government and its MPs was disappointing.

In a release he said that there wasn’t any benefit from the current railway budget to Kerala apart from the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram daily and weekly trains.

He also accused the UPA government of continued neglect towards Kerala in railway development.
