Punishment transfer threat to Kerala Govt.Hospital Superintendent for placing PM’s photo at his office

The superintendent of Neyyatinkara General Hospital Dr Shinu is allegedly facing threats of transfer, for having donned a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his office. This is said to have invoked the ire of a certain section of society, leading to threats of transfer.

Dr KS Shinu is said to have got the picture a few months back from the local BJP workers and said to have placed the same in the office room with the aid of his colleagues.

According to sources, the superintendent is also said to have protested against the construction of the new hospital building, in front of the old one, after having received sanction from the state health minister and standing MLA. This is reported to have hastened the call seeking his transfer.

However, according to reports, the superintendent is a very meticulous person, under whose supervision, the system of punching was first introduced in the state, in Neyyatinkara General Hospital, notwithstanding protests from doctors and other staff members. Dr Shinu also has to his credit, the functioning of a large number of nurses, as volunteers, under his tenure.Dr Shinu had assumed charge as Superintendent, 14 years back.
