Against the anti-Hindu activities of the Mathrubhumi Weekly, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has taken out a protest march to the vernacular daily’s Kochi edition office.

Hundreds of people including women participated in the march and the protest meeting here before the office. The leaders who spoke at the meeting demanded removal of Muslim extremists in the weekly besides withdrawing from carrying articles defaming the womanhood.

The present modus operandi of Mathrubhumi blemishes the role the Paper had played in the country’s independent movement apart from hurting the feelings of the patriots, the leaders alleged. Those spoke on the occasion included VHP District Secretary, Sri. Sudhakaran, Rajagopal Mallya, R V Babu and Athikayan.
