Protest against Cultureless Minister’s remark on Hinduism to appease Jihadi’s

via HK -with input from DP published on November 22, 2008

Aluva; Hindu organisations demanded removal of Cultureless Culture Minister who dared to equate Hinduism with Terrorism in a function organised by Jihadi terrorist group PDP.

VHP and BJP demanded public apology from the Christian Marxist Minister M A Baby and asked CPM to clarify their stand on the matter.

PK Krishnadas demanded removal of M A Baby from the Cabinet and Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan to make clear whether Baby had participated in the PDP programme with the knowledge of the Cabinet.

The BJP demand comes after the allegations were made that the PDP had direct involvement in terror operations and recruitments to extremist groups in Kerala. Several of the persons arrested for terror operations during the police searches in October and November were said to have connections with the PDP.

Krishnadas said in New Delhi that Kerala had become a victim of Government-sponsored terrorism. He alleged that the relations the CPI(M) had with PDP and Islamist outfit NDF were causing sabotage of the police investigations into terror operations in the State. CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan should explain his party’s present approach to the PDP.

BJP chief alleged that the Government had already frozen the probe into the terror operations in the State and had embarked on a programme intended at trapping activists of Hindu organisations in fake cases. The decision to freeze the anti-terror probes and to go after the Hindu organizations was taken at a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram earlier in wich senior CPI(M) leaders and IPS officials belonging to the CPI(M)’s police fraction had taken part.

Meanwhile, BJP sources in Kochi pooh-poohed PDP chairman Abdul Nasser Madani’s claim that BJP had approached his party through a journalist for votes during the last election.
