The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court, Kochi on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants against 29 accused in the case pertaining to the July 4 Taliban-model Islamist attack on Prof TJ Joseph of Muvattupuzha. The warrants were issued against prime accused MK Nasser, a State-level leader of the Islamist outfit, Popular Front of India, and 28 others who were still at large. The Kerala Police have so far arrested 25 of the total 54 accused in the case but several of them have already been granted bail due to the failure of the police to file the chargesheet within the stipulated 180-day period.
