Prasadam distribution in Sabarimala should not be for profit – High Court

Kochi (Kerala): The Prasadam from Temples are not a ‘Product’ to earn profit. Kerala High Court observed that Appam distributed to devotees in Sabarimala should not be sold to earn profit.
The issue came in front of the court because 11 lakhs packets of APPAM (a sweet but little hard rice made round cake) were found infested with deadly fungal particles.

Court gave strict order that food and safety commissioner should look each and every stage of production.
