Police lathicharge Yuva Morcha workers, 16 injured

PALAKKAD: Police today lathicharged hundreds of Yuva Morcha activists here during a march organised against the LDF government’s educational policies.
BJP leaders said that 16 Yuva Morcha workers were seriously injured and another 20 taken into custody by police.
The march was organised to protest the government’s failure to end uncertainties regarding admission and fee rates in self-financing colleges.
