Parking for Sabarimala Devotees should be Made Free of Cost: Yuva Morcha

published on November 6, 2012
Thiruvananthapuram: “The exorbitant amount being extracted from devotees who come to Sabarimala in the form of parking fees should come to a halt. The parking facility for vehicles should be made free of cost as well”: these were the two demands put forth by State President of Yuva Morcha Advocate VV Rajesh. “Fees is being availed from areas which do not belong to the Devaswom Board,” he added.
“We will organize a massive protest against the government’s callous attitude against providing half ticket charges for children travelling to Shabarimala by KSRTC buses. Since the computerized booking does not facilitate half ticket charges during booking, children are forced to take full ticket along with accompanying adults. The KSRTC must be prepared to grant half ticket charges from the forthcoming pilgrimage season and also make services in the Nilakkal-Pampa route free of cost,” demanded Rajesh.
