NARAKKAL: The row over the management of LF High School took a new turn when a section of parishioners convened a meeting to explain the developments on the issue and decide the future action plan at the St Mary’s Church here on Sunday.

The meeting decided to call on the Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Mar Chakiyath to get back the school manager’s post to the church Vicar. A delegation will meet the Bishop next Sunday.

The participants took an oath that they would stand by the parish in its efforts to recapture the LF High School from the CMC (Congregation of Mother of Carmel) nuns.

Meanwhile, nuns of the LF High School who chose to abstain from attending the ceremonies in the church since last Monday, started attending the Holy Mass in the church from Saturday.

The nuns remained absent in the ceremonies at the church when a few parishioners prevented them from entering the church last Sunday.

The nuns were not allowed to distribute the Holy Communion to the faithful during the Holy Mass.

The parishioners had declared that they did not require the services of nuns in church activities. The nuns who attended the Holy Mass neither distributed the Holy Communion nor took the catechism classes on Sunday.
