P P Mukundan bags Maha Sivaratri Trust Award

KOCHI: Bharatiya Janatha Party leader P P Mukundan has bagged the Maha Sivaratri Trust Award-2008 for his outstanding and self-less service to the society for the past four decades.

The award will be presented at a function organised in connection with the Maha Sivarathri celebrations at Kaladi on Tuesday.

The award presentation ceremony will be inaugurated by Fisheries Minister S Sarma. The award will be presented by former Sikkim Governor Rama Rao.

Veteran congress leader K Karunakaran will attend the function and honour the awardee. Saju Paul MLA, Asianet director K P Mohanan and Pankajakasturi Herbal Research Foundation founder J Hareendran Nair will be the chief guests at the function. Swami Ganesananda Theerthapaadar from Panmana Aashramam, Kollam, Bamboo Board Chairman K A Chackochan, VHP Seva Vibagh state president M Krishnakumar, Kalady panchayat president Baby Paulose Okkal panchayat president Elsy Devassykkutty and Rice Mill Owners Association district president Poly Thariyan will deliver felicitations at the functions.
