Thiruvananthapuram: Noted Fim actor Shri Nedumudi Venu inaugurated 31st Annual celebrations of Tapasya Kalasahithya Vedi here at Vivekananda Cultural Centre named as Bharath Gopi Nagar.

Society should keep vigilant against the motives of evil forces to destroy our cultural inheritance and heritage and oppose it vigorously in unison. TV Channels which promote reality shows are knowingly or unknowingly aiding those who wish to destroy our culture. The moral degradation is visible in all fields and is rampant among Political, Cultural and Social spheres. Filmdom is also now infected with this contagious disease, opined Nedumudi Venu in his inaugural address

Samskar Bharathi National Vice-president and Tapasya Rakshadhikari Professor C.G. Rajagopal, Professor P.G.Haridas, J.Somasekhara Pilla ,Noted cultural leaders and writers took part in the inaugural function. P. Narayanakuruppu, Ezhumattoor Rajaraja Varma, B.R.P.Bhaskar, Sreekumaran Thampi and P.Kesavan Nair took part in the Discussions.

 Kananmoola Vidhyadhiraja Aksharasloka Samithi’s Akshara Shloka Sadass, Koothu performed by Margi  Narayana Chakyar and Mohiniyattom by Thiruvananthapuram Rigatta were well received by the spectators.

Art Exhibition was exhibited by famous sculptor Kanayi Kunhi Raman in presence of artist Neelakandan and Professor Katoor Narayana Pillai.
