“Operation Tailor”, plan of action to upset VS

Defeat VS: Pinarayi tells henchmen

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pinarayi Vijayan, Secretary of Kerala CPI(M) has sent clear directions to his henchmen at Malampuzha to ensure the defeat of V S Achuthanandan in the coming election to the state Assembly. This is in protest against the Polit Bureau  decision to field V S as a candidate irrespective of the opposition by the coterie led by Pinarayi Vijayan. This caucus is known in party circles as the “axis of evil”. Thomas Issac, who considers himself as an intellectual and M A baby are the prominent members of this caucus.

The Friday meeting of the state committee held here had overruled Pinaray’s opposition to the candidature of V S. Immediately after the meeting of the state committee, Pinarayi Vijayan rang up his gang members at Malampuzha and instructed them work for the defeat of V S. A source in A K G Centre, the party state head quarters, told Haindava Keralam that Pinarayi used a personal mobile phone to pass on this message to his musclemen.

Though most of the state committee members left the venue immediately after the conclusion of the meeting, Pinarayi, Baby and Issac stayed back in the secretary’s cabin to draw out a detailed scheme to pull the carpet from the feet of an unsuspecting V S.

“This old man has to go. Otherwise all of us will end up in trouble,” Pinarayi shouted at Baby and Issac, the Christian Brothers.

It is reported that Pinarayi and Baby blamed a section of the media for the vault face by the Polit Bureau over VS.  The trio has chalked out a plan to sabotage the chances of V S becoming the next chief minister in the event of the L D F Victory. The CPI(M)’s leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnam has been alerted and mobilized for the mission codenamed “Operation Tailor”, to defeat V S in the hustings.

A source close to Pinarayi Vijayan told this reporter that the operation is called Tailor because of the party’s consideration for workers in the world. “V S himself was a tailor before venturing into Communist politics,” said the source.
