One more tusker for Guruvayurappan

GURUVAYUR: A nine year-old tusker, Sree Krishnan, was offered to Lord Guruvayurappan here on Monday by Nanthilath Gopu, a Thrissur based businessman.

With the arrival of the new tusker, the devaswom now owns 65 jumbos.

Temple melsanthi Moorkannoor Sreehari Namboothiri performed the Nadayiruthal ritual of the tusker near the flagmast of the temple.

Temple ooralan Mallissery Parameswaran Namboothiripad and devaswom administrator Ratheesan received the tusker on behalf of the devaswom.

Temple pathukaran Ramachandra Warrier, Kazhakom Puthiyedathu Ananandan, temple deputy administrator R Narayanan, livestock assistant manager A K Unnikrishnan and superintendant R Rajagopal monitored the arrangements for the ritual.
