One More , Former MP leave CPM in Kerala

Palakkad: Sending shock waves across the CPM leadership one more CPM leader and former MP from Ottapalam S Shivaraman resigned from primary membership of the party following differences over policies of CPM. Shivaraman talking to media cited the shift in policy of CPM from poor men’s party and the rush to cater the needs of Real Estate Mafia and the likes neglecting the genuine concerns of the people as the reason behind resignation.

The resignation has come close on the heels of controversial ouster of former Alappuzha MP Dr K.S. Manoj who quit the party because of his inability to follow the CPI(M)’s new directive, which clashed with his faith. A year back former Kannur MP A.P. Abdullakutty, had walked out of the party on similar grounds. Abdullakutty, who had won the Kannur Lok Sabha seat twice on a CPI(M) ticket
