NSS Boycots Chattambi Swamigal Jayanti , For inviting Amma !

Karunagapally: Chattambi Swamigal was a great Rishi , Scholar and at the same time a Social reformer who fought against social evils and conversion , Told Matha Amrithanandamayi. Amma was attending the satsang organised by Panmana Ashram as part of Chattambi Jayanthi celeberations.

Swamigal lived among ordinary and haven’t hesitated to take up various jobs like document writing, Accountant and even as a head-load worker-All inorder
to take care of his Mother. Swamiji’s only valuables in this world were the dhoti he weared, One pot and a Iron ring.He guided a generation who was slipping into Adharma
with his speeches and he was instrumental in controlling the widespread Conversion taking place in South Kerala to Christianity.

Swamiji revived a generation not only spiritually but also from Social evils like Untouchability. He was one of the first who argued that learning knowledge is every ones birth right , Vedas should be learnt by each and every one – as the Vedas itself say so.

NSS leadership boycotted Chattambi Swamigal Jayanti celeberations stating that ‘vicious forces’ hijacked Chattambi swamigal! Ofcourse NSS leadership would have attended if Panmana Ashram authorities had invited some one from Bishop house.
