No support to Church’s ‘Liberation Struggle’-NSS

Kottayam: NSS General Secretary Narayana Pannikker made it clear that, not to expect any support from the side of NSS in the stir by Christian managements for gaining unconstitutional rights to their educational institutions in the name of ‘Minority Right’.


 


He was responding to the the Media hype that NSS will support Christian Management in the second ‘liberation struggle’ declared by church leaders on Sunday.


 


Narayana Pannikker mentioned that NSS will fight against any move by government to interfere in the administration of institutions owned by Hindus.He also pointed out that in the recent KER reforms; there is no control on fees collection by minority institutions. When the fees collected by institutions owned by Hindus are regulated by the Government bodies, minority institutions have given a free hand,he alleged.
