No inner party democracy in CPM: Sreedharan Pillai

via Mahadev published on April 5, 2006

The BJP State President, Mr P S Sreedharan Pillai said that the Community Party Marxist (CPM) is a “spider which eats its mate”.

He said the party had snatched away the seats of its alliance partners besides deciding on their candidates. This is a clear manifestation that the party has no democracy in it.

Accusing the CPM in Kerala of adopting the Stalinist model of West Bengal here in the state, he said that it was an effort to take full control of the LDF.

Meanwhile, the Party’s state General Secretary, Mr P K Krishnadas came out strongly against the election alliance by the UDF and the LDF with PDP and NDF, which are allegedly extremist outfits.

Addressing a press conference at Kottayam today, Mr Krishnadas alleged that the PDP and NDF had connections with Pakistan. “An election alliance with them was not only detrimental to the interests of the state but also to national security.”

He called upon disgruntled parties, both in the LDF and UDF, to come out and form a Third Front.
