Thrissur: Though Government have funds to start new Madrassas, Provide Scholarships to Minority Students, Make new Hostels and conduct special coaching classes for them – There is no funds to construct Toilets and provide basic amenities like drinking water in Schools where majority of students depend.

In 175 Schools there is no provision for drinking water  and there are 129 Schools without Toilets, as per a recent survey conducted in LP and UP schools.

On top of over spending for Minority students now Government is going to acquire nearly 200 acres land to make an extension for Aligarh Muslim University. A tiny fraction of money ear marked for minority pampering is sufficient to provide basic amenities for the children studying in normal schools.
