NDF storing large scale of weapons

Alapuzha : Storing of arms and ammunitions on a large scale by Muslim extremists in different parts of the district is understood to have come to the notice of the intelligence department of the government, according to a report.


 


Even after submitting the report by the Intelligence department no action has been so far taken to unearth these arms and ammunitions, it said.


 


The authorities said to have got information about storing of arms in Mannanchery Adivaram, Ambanakulangara East, Ambalakadavu, Ponnadu, Zacharia Bazar, Vaduthala, Kuravanthodu, Kuthiathodu, Chandiroor, Vallikunnam and Nooranadu areas.


 


Recently, the Police has rounded up about 15 NDF extremists along with Marad model swords, petrol bombs etc from Ambakulangara. Following their arrest the weapons said to have been shifted from their places of worship, the report added.
