Navy recruitment drive in Kochi

Naval recruitment organisation, INS Venduruthy will conduct a recruitment drive at the Naval base in Kochi from April 18 to 20. The two-day recruitment drive is held to enroll candidates as sailors in the Indian Navy for the 2007 batch beginning on August 6.

Kochi is the only recruiting centre allotted for Kerala and Lakshadweep.

A Naval Press statement said that unmarried male Indian citizens born between August 1, 1986 and July 31, 1990 can take part in the test and the applicants should have a minimum height of 157 cms.

Those who have secured a minimum 45 per cent marks in plus two or equivalent examinations with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Biology or Computers as optional subjects can send their applications.

Call letters will be issued to the eligible characters on April 18 after verification of documents and checking for eligibility for appearing in written test and physical test followed by medical examination scheduled on April 19 and 20.
