Muslim Youth League Goons Dons Police Uniform, Masquerade as Law Enforcers
Balussery: In what can be termed as ‘heavy breach of law’, Muslim Youth League goons have begun donning police uniforms and masquerading as law enforcers, taking law into their hands. The process was initiated during the recently conducted state rally and continue thereafter. Sources have indicated that the goons decided to take the move by challenging law officers. They are said to be donning uniforms of MSP officers and taking charge of law and order during rallies.
According to sources, the move is a cleverly scripted one, with a minor alteration made by them, in order to avoid any trouble they might fall into, by replacing the police emblem with a green ribbon. Under the guise of police patrolling, the goons are said to be following rally in a heavy vehicle and driven away all onlookers from the spot where the rally concludes for speeches. “They take charge of the entire road and have a monopoly over everything. And with people mistaking them for real police personnel, there is a lot of fear afloat among both pedestrians and commuters.”
The police department is said to have taken note of the matter on a serious basis. “There are widespread protests among police officers regarding the matter. It is breach of law. But the actual police officers who were part of the rally seem helpless,” said sources.
Adding to this is the presence of vehicles bearing boards announcing ‘state government of Kerala’.
