Kochi: A woman was taken into custody by emigration personnel when she tried to leave for Colombo with a forged passport at the Kochi International Airport on Tuesday. Jehara Habib, a native of Vakkom near Thiruvananthapuram, had managed to secure a passport in the name of Sofia Thankachan of Kollam, emigration sources said. She had intended to go to UK via Colombo. Jehara was handed over to Chengamanad police.
