Murder attempt – Arrest warrant against Kerala Home Minister’s son

The fourth Fast track court of Trivandrum has issued a warrant for the arrest of the Home minister’s son Binish Kodiyeri and six other former SFI activists for the attempted murder of a Police Sub Inspector in 2001.

The warrant has been issued after the accused repeatedly failed to appear in court after getting bail. Notices have been sent to the people who stood as collateral for the bail of the accused in this regard. The court has asked for the arrest of the accused by July 2nd.

 The court had earlier rejected the Government’s appeal to withdraw the case. The incident leading to the warrant took place on September 28, 2001.The accused along with 16 other SFI activists had allegedly tried to murder the then ASI G Narayanan Nair at the General hospital in Trivandrum.
