More Rifles & Air Guns seized in Cochin, Quran found in each packet

KOCHI: The search operations are still going on at Cochin Port where customs officials today morning seized huge quantity of rifles and air guns. Accordingly to Custom officials, 68 Rifles & Air Guns were seized so far and search operations are still going on. The containers were arrived from Dubai port addressed to one O.K. Koya, Trichur. Koya is reportedly absconded from today morning. 



A detailed examination of the remaining containers would take place in the presence of top police and customs officials. According to officials, the container – which arrived on Jan 4 – contains 810 packets in 37 cartons.



The Police and intelligent officials surprised to see the copy of Quran in each packet. 



“This is a serious issue and I have asked the Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) Jacob Punnoose to immediately inquire into it and submit a report,” said state Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.


 


State, central and army top intelligence officials are already reached in Cochin to assess the situation. Intelligent officials said that they have received sufficient evidence of the sources and their link in Kerala behind this arm smuggling.  


 


There were reports from central intelligence agencies about the possible arms smuggling by Islamic terrorist organization headed by NDF in Kerala through ISI via Dubai. The arms seized by the customs officials today proves Kerala basis Islamic terrorist organisation under the leadership of NDF is all set to launch massive terrorist attack in the state specially against Hindu organization and its leaders.
