Molestation bid in Train – Abdul Rehman, Arabic PG student under arrest

KOZHIKODE: An attempt to molest a medico in a moving train was reported. Timely intervention of co-passengers helped to catch hold of the accused identified as Abdul Rehman (28).
 
The incident was shocking as the Soumya case is still in the minds of the people. 
 
The incident happened on the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express at 5.45 am this morning near Feroke Railway Station. The youth tried to molest the girl (native of Vadakara) while she was sleeping on the upper berth of the train. Shockingly, the girl caught hold of him on his shirt and requested co-passengers to catch him.

The accused confessed to the crime after denying it first.

A case has been registered against him. He will be produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate Court today. He is doing his post graduate in Arabic in the  Kerala University.
