Minority Status:Hindu organisations to protest
The present move to give Minority Status to minority owned educational institutions will denies higher education opportunities to majority of Hindus in the state. Its a discrimination and grave injustice to Hindus of the state, said BJP state president P.S.Sreedharan Pillai. As the majority of educational institutions are owned by minorities in Kerala, present move is suicidal to Hindu students, Pillai added.
Hindu Aikiya Vedi leader Sri. Kummanam Rajasekharan told that this move is highly unconstitutional and against the secularist nature of the society. Future of Hindu students will be in darkness if this is implemented. Sri. Kummanam said that Hindu organisations will organise protests against this injustice with the support of Hindu parents and students.
ABVP State secretary V.P.Rajeevan told that this attempt is to rescue minority institutions from the clutches of prevailing laws for Self Financing Colleges and requested the government to take tough stand against this injustice.
