Kasargode:Kummanam Rajasekharan said that after ordering for the changes in the Guruvayoor temple rituals G. Sudhkaran may order to deposit the temple’s money and gold in the treasury.

Minister has no authority to change the rituals. The govt. and ministers are not elected for controlling the temples. They do not have the popular mandate for it. They are only authorized to rule the country and lead to the development without any religious discrimination.

Addressing a gathering in Kasargode, in connection with the inauguration of Tample Raksha Yathra, Kummanam said that it is not desirable if a Minister, who is not at all a believer, takes decisions regarding rituals of the temples.

Thanthris are at the helm of the affairs of all the temples including the ones founded by Sree Narayana Guru and other saints. Such Thanthris are not expected to be insulted by CPM ministers. It will cause far reaching consequences.
