published on June 7, 2008

Dear Bhakthas ,

The recent “Sree Guruvayoorappa Chaithanya Rathyathra”  has become a sensational controversy in the “anti-Vedic” media , thanks to the dirty  mud slinging by minister Sudhakaran . Utilizing his puppet Guruvayoor Devaswom Board, the Minister tried his best to thwart the event .

The Guruvayoor Devaswom Board which had  initially agreed went back on it’s promise (to please the minister) . It even went to the extent of denying the “Chaithanya Rath” and  it’s Devotes entry inside the Guruvayoor temple . The
venomous Sudhakaran and his comrades publicly condemned the Rathyatra
as an “Effort to cheat the Devotees ” and demanded a vigilance probe
against all those responsible for the event .

In
spite of the sabotage , Brahmasree Chennas Dineshan Namboothirippadu ,
the Thanthri of Guruvayoor Temple lighted the “Deepam” and consecrated
the Rath .

Brahmasree
Puthumana Sreedharan Namboothiri , the Thanthri of Ambalappuzha temple
has issued a statement to clarify his full involvement in this event .

The  Chaithanya Rathyathra ultimately became a success thanks to Bhagan Sree Krishna’s blessings  .

Mohanlal the popular Malayalam actor has inaugurated the “Siveli Pandal” built at the Ambalapuzha temple .  Minister
Sudhakaran had spoken to Mohanlal over phone three times urging him not
to attend the event because he the minister was not invited to the
function!

ACTOR Mohanlal has become a character in the latest controversy triggered by Cooperation and Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran.

The row revolves around the Chaithanya Ratha Yatra conducted by the Vaishakha Yagna Festival Committee of the AmbalapuzhaSreeKrishnaSwamyTemple.

Mohanlal
came in the picture with the temple advisory committee members and the
Vaishakha Yagna Festival Committee office-bearers alleging here on
Friday that the Minister kicked up the controversy so as to take
revenge on the temple advisory committee for inviting Mohanlal months
ago to inaugurate the `Siveli Pandal’ built at the temple by ignoring
the claims of the Devaswom Minister to do it.

To a question, the
office-bearers led by Ambalappuzha Gopakumar, V Rangan and B
Gopalakrishna Kaimal said it was true that the Minister had telephoned
Mohanlal prior to the inaugural function and urged him not to attend
the function saying that the minister was not invited to the function.

According
to them, Mohanlal politely turned down the Minister’s request and
attended the function as he was being invited by his friend film
director Priyadarshan, who contributed generously to build the Siveli
Pandal at the temple.

“There was nothing political in the entire
episode. But Sudhakaran politicised it,” Sreekumar, one of the members
of the temple advisory committee said.

Fund collection row “The
fund for the Chaithanya Yatra was collected by the Vaishkha Yagna
Festival Committee and not by the temple advisory committee. It is true
that some of the temple advisory committee members are also members of
the Yagna Festival Committee. The fund collection of the temple
advisory committee comes under strict norms,” the temple advisory
committee members said.

“Ambalappuzha south grama panchayat
president Arun Kumar, who was earlier the patron of the festival
committee, demanded a Vigilance inquiry into the fund collection drive
due to the pressure of the Devaswom Minister.

“The Guruvayur
Devaswom managing committee and presidents of other devaswom boards
disassociated from the Chaithanya Ratha Yatra as per Sudhakaran’s
insistence.” the committee members said.
