Mata to bless a sea of devotees in State capital

T’PURAM: Mata Amritanandamayi will give darsan to thousands at a public gathering to be held at Sanghumugham beach on Saturday. This is the first time ever that the Mata is giving darsan outside the Kaimanam ashram in the city or is being given a public reception in the city.

The Mata was received by the ashram inmates and devotees on her arrival in the city from Kanyakumari on Friday. She later went to Sanghumugham and reviewed the preparations for the programme on Saturday.

The Mata will also launch the charity programmes to be taken up by the Kaimanam ashram this year. She will be given a public reception at the function to be held at 6 p.m. She will be received with a poornakumbham. This will be followed by a satsang and bhajan, after which the Mata will give darsan to the devotees.

Karnataka Road Transport Minister Muniyappa, M P Veerendrakumar MP and other prominent personalities from various walks of life will attend the function. The ashram will make arrangements for the parking of vehicles and provide free food to all devotees who come to the venue.

Kicking off her tour in Chennai on January 29, the Mata visited Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Kozhikode and Kanyakumari before reaching the city.

She will be going on a North Indian tour on March 1 and will visit Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and other places before ending her tour in New Delhi on March 31.
