Massive protest against Govt. take over of temple in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Mavoor witnessed episodes of tension when a remonstration against the Malabar Devaswom Board’s plan to take over the Kalchira Narasimha Swamy temple, turned violent.
The protest, organized by devotees and locals, was against the high- handedness of temple and Devaswom authorities in taking over the temple against devotees wishes.
A hartal has been called for by Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti, against the Devaswom Board move.
