Mass Reception for Kshethra Raksha Yathra
PALAKKAD : The Kshethra Raksha Yathra (Temple Protection March) commenced from Mookambika Temple on 9th May is now touring in Palakkad District .The Reception Received at districts of Kasargod, Kannur, Calicut were inspiring .The Ratham now tour in Palakkad District.
On 14th May morning at 8’o clock the Ratham started from Ottapalam at Cherpulassery Temple Premises, Ladies and Youths gathered and offered followers proclaiming their strong support and assistance to the agitation for the protection of temple and forgetting participation in temple administration. Swami Mangalananda Saraswathi and Kummanan Rajasekheran addressed the gathering.
At 11am the Ratham got mass reception at Kongad at then on 12am at Kongad. Hundreds of devotees accorded was in reception at Puthuppariaram with all gaiety. At Kalpathy near Palakkad town Various Hindu Organisation offered garlands and flowers.
While addressing the people, Kummanam Rajasekharan challenged the authenticity of the leftist Govt who are bound to stand for progressive, democratic and secular principles. Centralisation of all powers to administer temple in Govt is agents the basic principles of Democracy and Secularism. Once the Communists raised the slogan that agriculture land for farmers. If they are honest in this theory, why they are hesitate to give the right to administer the temples to devotees who are the people who build and sustained the temples, he said.
