Mass marriage organised by Maha Ganapathy Charitable Trust

Kalpetta: Dewasom Minister Kadnnappally Ramachandran has said that the endeavor of the charitable trusts to conduct the commendable social service such as ‘Sumangaleeyam’ is highly commendable and it is an eye-opener for the society.

Inaugurating the‘Sumangaleeyam-4,’ fourth mass marriage function organised by the Maha Ganapathy Charitable Trust, on the premises of the Sree Mariyamman temple, Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad district on Sunday, Dewasom Minister said that many of the brides belonged to economically backward families were blessed to enter into the married life through the mass marriage and the social services of the trust had set a model for the charitable organisations in Kerala.

Kadnnappally Ramachandran praised the bride grooms for their courage to give a life to the girls belonged to economically backward families. As many as 72 prospective Hindu couples from Wayanad in the State and Nilgiri district in Tamil Nadu entered the wedlock and a financial assistance provided to four Christian and Muslim couples at the mass marriage function.

Four sovereigns of gold ornaments, dresses for the couples, and feast for 100 invitees of each couple were provided by the trust.
