Maoist and other Anti-National Groups behind ‘Kiss of Love’ ?

Kochi: There are reports that Hasna, the spear-header of the event ‘Kiss of Love’ held at Marine Drive on 2 November, has Maoist links. Police have intensified all investigations related to Hasna. Reports state that intelligence wing of police department had gathered details of Hasna’s stated Maoist links.

Sources have stated that a raid was conducted in her home by police led to gathering of further details. “However, not much has been revealed,” said sources.

Police are also said to have gathered information about the presence and hands of proscribed terror outfits behind the event ‘Kiss of Love’. Presence of CPI(ML), Porattam and DHRM activists confirmed the role of those who dream Anarchy in soceity behind yesterdays event.

Also, reports state that the Facebook group ‘Free Thinkers’ are the main promoters of the event. 

Most of promotional work for the event has been done as cyber campaigning. Even though it was highlighted that the event was in protest against Yuva Morcha’s reaction at the unsavoury incidents which took place in DownTown Restaurant, it became a chance for all indulging and supporting anarchical activities and anti-national views in merging their interests. Reports state that those who planned the event have intentions in making use of these cyber groups in future too.

There has also been a recent trend of picking up unimportant or insignificant issues and blowing them out of proportions via social media groups. The organizers use fake profiles and pseudonyms in cyber space and manage to promote their message successfully. It is spun in such a way that youths start showing signs of interest and get ensnared into the unsuspecting trap laid before them. Terror groups later track these youths and enmesh them for furthering their anti-national activities.

It has also been noted that Kochi is the preferred location for organizing these events. Intelligence sources have warned that such events being organized will have a devastating impact on society.
