Major NDF arms catch at Mannarkkadu

PALAKKAD: Police at Mannarkkad near here seized deadly weapons including more than 50 “VADIWAALS” on Sunday from the residences of various leaders of the National Development Front (NDF), a major Islamic terrorist organization in the state.

The weapons were seized from the residences of Karimbanathottam Kayyalakkal Subair (25) and Mundambokkil Mujeeb Rehman (28), the high flying area leaders of the NDF. Both Subair and Rehman have been arrested.

The arrest and seizure of weapons follow complaints lodged by RSS workers Krishna Das and Narayanan Namboodiri who were waylaid and assaulted by the Subair and Rehman on Saturday evening. This is the fourth major NDF arms seizure from Mannarkkad in recent months. The NDF has converted Mannarkkad and adjacent areas into a virtual fortress with many underground arms depot resembling that of the Indian Army.

Meanwhile intelligence units of the Kerala Police have alerted the state government about an impending communal riot to be unleashed by the NDF on Hindus in Mannarkkad. The Islamic terrorists are flush with funds generated through the smuggling of sandal wood. It is the sandal wood mafia controlled by the NDF leadership which calls the shots in Palakkad district.

The attempt to kill Krishna Das and Namboodiri on Saturday was to provoke the Hindu community so that the NDF could unleash their secret plans, say sources in the intelligence department. “They are trying for yet another Marad style massacre in Kerala. Taking into account the political patronage and influence enjoyed by the NDF, it is not at all difficult for the NDF leaders to slaughter fifty or hundred Hindus here,” said a senior police officer belonging to the state intelligence unit.
