Madhavan Nair dedicates Padma Vibhushan to ISRO staff

BANGALORE: Padma Vibhushan awardee
G Madhavan Nair has dedicated the award to the entire
team of the Indian Space Research Organisation and believes
that the national recognition has come because of ISRO’s
good work in recent years. “It’s a great recognition
at the national level.

I owe it to the entire ISRO team who are behind me”,
the ISRO Chairman said after it was announced that he
is one of the 10 Padma Vibhushan awardees. “I think
ISRO has been doing very well in the last few years.

If you take the last five years, we (ISRO) have completed
something like 23 missions”, he said. “I have
a really golden opportunity to lead such a wonderful
team.

Recognition has come on account of that”. “I
am extremely proud of my people (ISRO staff), as well
as the country”, Nair said.
