Hindu Aikya Vedi: Office bearers elected

KOTTAYAM: P C Surendradas and P Rajesh have been elected district president and general secretary, respectively of the Hindu Aikya Vedi, at a meeting of the district committee here the other day.

The meet alleged that a Madhani- Martin – Marxist axis has emerged in the state after the release of the PDP leader.

By celebrating the release of Madhani, a feeling has been generated among the Hindus that the LDF government is against their interests.

The presence of three ministers at the reception meet organised for Abdul Nassar Madhani is an indicator, the meet said. It demanded that the State Government should start more self-financing professional education institutions in the state and thus avoid a situation wherein the Hindus are sidelined in the higher education sector.

Through a joint pastoral letter, the commercial mindset of the Christian community has come to the fore, the meet felt.

The meet resolved to organise an evening dharna here on August 13, in association with other Hindu outfits, demanding measures for the protection of the historically-important Ramasethu at Rameswaram
