M. Govindan’s words made me retract from communism – Akkittham

THRISSUR : Govindan’s words that ‘you should not kill men’ made me say goodby to communism, says Mahakavi Akkitham. He was addressing a programme, viz., “with the poet”, held in Ramanilayam, Thrissur and organized by Kendra Sahithya Academy.  He said, his earlier poems were influenced by communism. Later on it underwent a sea change. Ponnanikkalari had its own influence on him.
