SABARIMALA: All is well that ends well. The four-day Ashtamangala Devaprasnam, which began on Friday in an atmosphere of uncertainties, apprehensions, fears and despondency ended on a highly satisfactory and serene note on Monday evening.

The Lord, who showed through unmistakable signals that he has reached the end of his tether with regard to all the affairs connected with him at Sabarimala, till Sunday, expressed his unalloyed joy and contentment on Monday evening on hearing from all concerned that they would unconditionally and verbatim implement, as early as possible, latest in a period of two years, all the remedial measures suggested by the team of astrologers.

During the two years the Lord will watch whether the promises made by those connected with the temple on Monday are being kept. If they do, they will be rewarded, and, if not, they will, for sure, face the consequences.

Ayyappa has no objection at all to the construction of a ropeway from Pampa to the Sannidhanam to carry goods for the temple. This will spare the donkeys the burden of their present task.

Poonkavanam is Lord Ayyappa’s and so those who control it now should immediately hand it over to the Travancore Devaswom Board. If not, Ayyappa himself will deal with them, which he would not like.

Ponnambalamedu is a place where gods from all over the universe assemble to pay obeisance to Ayyappa. So it has as much sanctity as the temple. When the prasnam ended and the sanctum sanctorum was opened at 5 pm, the heaven which was, like all other forces, waiting with the bated breath to know the outcome of the prasnam.
