Links of Minister’s wife with Crusader’s Mafia centre

Kochi:The SNDP yogam general secretary Velapally Natesan has called upon the Government to shut the Divine Retreat centre for ever and to bring the guilty to the front .He also said that the incidents at the Muringur Divine retreat centre is a blot on the democracy of the State and added that the wife of a present Minister and wives of two former Ministers were constantly visiting the centre. The SNDP leader called upon the Government not to give any political protection to those accused in the case.


The new FIR charged by the police clearly states that a majority of the 974 dead were teenagers and that most of them were forcibly administered the psychotic drugs which has resulted in the deaths of many and to render others to life time mental imbalances.


The FIR also said that those who had opposed the authorities of the retreat centre and those who had opposed administering psychotic drugs were locked in independent cells and were forcibly administered these drugs.


Many of the deaths were the result of such drugs, which were administered in over doses. The investigating officer while speaking to The Pioneer also said that the contacts of the Divine centre had with the higher Government officials have to be probed and thoroughly investigated given the large number of deaths.


The police investigation officer also said that contrary to what the Divine centre authorities claim all the deaths were reported as natural and the cremations was carried out.


He also said that as the authoirites of the Divine centre were not co-operating the details of the FCRA could not be properly investigated.


The BJP State president P K Krishnadas reiterated the party demand to shut the Divine centre permanently owing to the severe issues coming out of the police investigation and called upon the Government to take up the issue.
